The Mock Trial Club at American River College provides students with hands-on experience in courtroom procedures while building skills in debate, public speaking, and critical thinking. Through weekly practices, guest speakers, and competitions, members gain confidence and teamwork experience in a supportive environment. The club also connects students with legal professionals and offers opportunities to showcase their growth each semester.
Mock Trial helps students build confidence in public speaking, debate, and teamwork while learning how the courtroom works. We meet to practice real trial procedures, prepare for competitions, and support each other in developing strong communication and critical thinking skills.
The club meets every Wednesday at 3 PM to practice real trial procedures, prepare for competitions, collaborate with other student organizations, and host guest speakers from the legal field. Members also participate in showcase trials each semester to demonstrate their growth.
